At Alligator Creek State School the First Break is the long break and Second Break is the short break.
When is the Tuckshop open?
Tuckshop is open First Break on Wednesday and Thursday and is open all day Friday.
What does this mean?
On Wednesday & Thursday hot food and ice blocks can only be purchased for First Break. Items available for second break are those that can be prepared in the morning and sent back to the classroom to be stored in the classroom fridge, items such as wraps, sandwiches, popcorn, munch packs and drinks.
On Friday's the full menu is available for both breaks.
Tuckshop only makes what is ordered and does not cook additional food for over the counter lunch time purchases.
Reheat Home Leftovers
We are able to reheat leftovers from home provided the meal is in a microwave safe container which has the child's name and class clearly labelled. Leftovers cannot be microwaved at break times due to the uneven heating. Instead they are placed into a warmer at the start of the day. Reheating costs 50c.
Option 1 – Online Ordering
Online Ordering is open until 8:15am. Orders can be placed up to 4 weeks in advance at a time that is convenient for you.
What happens if my child is away and we have pre-ordered?
You yourself are able to cancel your order through Quickcliq before cut-off ends at 8:15am.
If your child goes home from school, we can provide their order to them if it has been prepared and is ready.
If the tuckshop is not notified, we arrange a partial refund on the items not prepared (such drinks, popcorn, frozen treats) depending on when notice given.
Option 2 – Cash enclosed in Brown Paper
A separate bag is required for each break for each child with full details on each bag.
On your bag, it is really important to include your Child's First and Last names, Class, Teacher and what break order is for. Example of our printed bags of what needs to be completed:
Any change will be taped to the bag.
It is preferred if each child's order is placed in their own classrooms tuckshop box so that if the child with the families orders forgets they don't all get missed.
Reusable Bags
We have a range of reusable tuckshop bags in a variety of colours.
Non insulated bags are $10.00, Insulated bags are $12.00 each.
These are larger than brown paper bags and are sturdier for larger lunch orders. Please ensure the bags are kept clean and emptied of rubbish.We will not provide lunches in unclean bags.

Megan is our tuckshop convenor. Megan works Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Feel free to pop in and say hi.
Volunteers
We are always looking for volunteers to assist the staff in the tuckshop with preparation of food, serving of children and restocking. If you have some spare time on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday pop in and see Megan. You can also contact the P&C team by email pandc@alligatorcreekss.eq.edu.au .
We understand that a lot of parents work and are unable to assist, if you have a grandparent or other family member who is interested in coming in to help, please email the tuckshop acsstuckshop@outlook.com or contact the office so we can arrange a free Volunteer Blue Card.
