Use of personal technology devices at school
Students must not bring valuable personal technology devices like cameras, digital video cameras or MP3 players to school as their is a risk of damage or theft. Such devices will be confiscated by school staff and may be collected at the end of the day from the school office. Breaches of this prohibition may result in discipline. Where parents require their children to use a mobile telephone for after-school communication, then this device is to be handed in at the school office for safe-keeping and can be collected at the end of the school day.
Personal technology devices includes, but is not limited to, games devices (such as portable gaming devices, Tamagotchi's, laptop computers, blackberry's, cameras and/or voice recording devices (whether or not integrated with a mobile phone or MP3 player), mobile telephones, IPod, and devices of a similar nature.
Bullying
Bullying in all forms is deemed unacceptable and inappropriate at Alligator Creek State School.
