Support Teacher Literacy and Numeracy
Assists teachers with programs for students. This includes identifying/working with students who need support or extension programs and working with and mentoring teachers to develop teaching knowledge and skills.
Guidance Officer
Visits the school weekly to work with students referred for learning/emotional/social concerns. Parents or teachers may refer children to the Guidance Officer. After consultation, programs and actions may be recommended. The Guidance Officer works in co-operation with school staff – the child’s teacher, the Deputy and Principal, the Special Needs Teacher – and community personnel as required eg: Department of Communities.
Special Needs
A visiting Special Needs Teacher and extra Teacher Aide time for identified students.
Speech Language Pathologist
Visits our school to develop programs and work with referred students. A teacher aide can then implement designed support programs for target students.
School Chaplain
Visits our school weekly. The School Chaplain is available on a voluntary basis to all students, staff and parents, irrespective of religious beliefs. The Chaplain is involved in school activities and endeavours to be a friendly face who is able to provide pastoral care, with support on an emotional, spiritual and/or ethical level.
Advisory Visiting Teachers
Administration personnel can request services from other Advisory Teachers as services are required.
