Volunteering

Do you have a spare hour or two every week, monthly or even yearly? Do you want to make a difference?

There's a P&C role to suit you and your lifestyle, from helping in the tuckshop or just helping for a single hour at an event of your choice, to helping us from the comfort of your own home, to coordinating an event.  We have something to suit everyone's requirements and your help makes a huge difference to the school community.

In order for the P&C Association to provide the additional resources and facilities that benefit all the students, volunteers assist in numerous ways. We believe "many hands make light work" and are happy to accept any assistance we can get. We believe in every adult doing 'Just ONE Thing' a year.

What do our Volunteers get out of donating their time?

We have a lot of fun coming together for a common cause.

It's a chance to connect in new ways within the school.

It's a good example you are setting for your children when they see you donating your time.

You see the benefits and projects you endorsed and wanted within the school fairly quickly.

It's a great way to learn new skills that look awesome on a resume. Every employer is looking for that something different and volunteering might just be it.

You can be selective about the causes and programs you support.

Gain confidence.

Feel valued and appreciated.

Make a difference.

Be part of a community. Volunteering can help you feel part of something outside your friends and family.

Take on a challenge. Through volunteering, you can challenge yourself to try something different, achieve personal goals, practice using your skills and discover hidden talents.

Have fun! Most volunteers have a great time, regardless of why they do it.

How to get involved?

Tuckshop - Volunteer for one day a month at the tuckshop. No experience necessary. Great way to have some fun! Nothing beats the kids seeing you behind the counter at the tuckshop. Or we can add you to our emergency contact list and shoot you an email each month with any available shifts that might need to be filled, and you nominate if your available or not.

Mothers/Father's Day Stalls – We run both each year and are always looking for volunteers to help run the stalls.

Trivia Night Committee - This upcoming event is seeking team members to help plan and execute the first ACSS trivia evening on the 29th of May 2021.

BBQ's – Volunteer to help run a BBQ at one of our events

Coming along to a P&C meeting is really the best way to find out about other opportunities coming up across the year.
